Affidavit

A written statement where you claim the information within the documents is true and correct to the best of your knowledge. In order to be admissible, affidavits must be notarized by a notary public.

Jurat

Verbal Oath & Affirmation


You can swear or affirm to a notary public in person that you claim the information within the document is true and correct to the best of your knowledge.


Acknowledgement

Ensures that the signer of the document is indeed the person named in the document. To help validate, accept, confirm, recognize, having the intention to admit the truth or existence of something in presence of a notary, officer or impartial party.

Advance Directive includes but not limited to a living will, Durable Power of Attorney, and any documents needed to address your future medical care needs. 2 witnesses who are not your POA must be prepared in advance.

Divorce packets and property settlement agreements must be compiled and unsigned by either party prior to your appointment. Both you and your soon-to-be-former spouse will both need to be present and provide a photo issued ID. File the notarized documents with Clerk of Court office.

Adopting a new addition to the family can be a lengthy process. In many cases a skilled notary is called to an adoption agency for their services. Throughout the adoption process the adopting family will be required to provide the agency with many documents and cohere to any inspections or screenings the agency requires within a specific time frame. A notary will need to be present to authenticate the identities of the family members and the series of events that must take place over the next 1 to 2years until the adoption is finalized.
